Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 October 2026 · applies to worldtimewall.com

World Time Wall is a free, private working-hour overlap planner. In short: you have no account, your cities never leave your browser, and we only load advertising cookies after you agree.

What we store on your device

We use your browser's localStorage — never a server — to remember your preferences, such as:

  • wtw:prefs — your theme, 12/24-hour choice, clock style and your overlap-planner cities.
  • wtw:consent — your advertising consent choice and when you made it.

Because this data lives only in your browser, clearing your browser data removes it. We cannot read it, and it is not sent to us.

Times and timezones

All local times are calculated in your browser with the built-in Intl API against the IANA timezone database. This happens on-device; no timezone data about you is transmitted to us.

Advertising

We fund the site with Google AdSense. Advertising scripts are only loaded after you accept ads in the consent banner. When enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve and measure ads, and may serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising any time via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info; EU/UK visitors can use youronlinechoices.eu.

Your consent choice

Your choice is stored on your device. You can change it at any time using the Cookies link in the footer of every page. Declining ads means no advertising cookies are set; the site still works fully.

Analytics and tracking

We do not run any first-party analytics, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking of our own.

Log data

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) may automatically record standard technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — for security and to operate the service reliably.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. Because we hold no personal data on our servers, you can exercise most of these simply by clearing your browser storage and adjusting the consent choice above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
